The new 2020 American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines for CPR / BLS / Heartsaver / ACLS / PALS are expected to be released by October 21, 2020.
AHA BLS, ACLS and PALS eCards issued from cprverify.org will change to the 2020 version from October 21, 2020. Course students will be able to download the updated 2020 versions of the eCards from the same day.
AHA Training Centres should start using the new 2020 course materials approximately 90 days from the launch of the new materials. Any 2015 course materials should be used up within those 90 days. After 90 days from the launch, only 2020 course materials should be used.
AHA instructors should complete the 2020 course and product orientation, and complete the 2020 instructor updates within this 90 day period.
From February 1, 2021 AHA Training Centres will start teaching only the new 2020 Courses.
Do not purchase old 2015 course materials. Try to use the existing course materials by February 1, 2021. AHA 2015 eBooks, videos and eCards will be replaced by the 2020 version. 2020 eBooks can be purchased only after they are launched.
The 2020 HeartCode eLearning Course Licenses will be available for purchase as soon as they are launched. If you have not used/accessed a 2015 HeartCode license that you have purchased before the launch of the new 2020 license, that license will automatically change to the 2020 HeartCode license on February 1, 2021.
The AHA 2020 Guidelines Instructor Update eLearning Course will be available on http://elearning.heart.org/ website and the AHA Instructor Network website, from October 21, 2020. All AHA Instructors should take this course before they are allowed to teach the 2020 Guidelines BLS / Heartsaver / BLS / ACLS Provider Courses. Online Instructor Update Courses will also be available. We will notify you once they are launched.
2020 AHA Guidelines Science In-Service eLearning Course is available online at https://elearning.heart.org/course/387 This course is meant for AHA BLS / Heartsaver / ACLS / PALS Providers who have 2015 Guidelines Course Cards, to update their knowledge to the new 2020 Guidelines. This course is not equal to a AHA renewal course. This course is meant to update your knowledge till you take the AHA Provider (Renewal) Course on the expiry of your existing AHA Card.
